Florida Springs Restoration Summit: November 1-4, 2018, Ocala, FL

EVERY accepted submission will receive $50.

Additionally, prizes for first ($200), second ($100) and third ($50) place will be awarded. 

We are able to accept a maximum of 13 poster submissions.

This Poster Session will give students and professionals a way to present their research to the springs community. 


We are seeking posters that provide information (updates, examples, new ideas) on tools and activities being implemented or proposed throughout the state to improve the health of our springs. Topics can include research, new technology, policy, management, legal strategy, education, outreach, or advocacy. 


The poster session is open to all professionals, organizations, students, and individuals interested in exchanging or proposing ideas for meaningful springs restoration and long-term protection. The poster session will be held during an afternoon social hour during the Summit. 


Space is limited.

Abstract Guidelines

  • Maximum word count for abstract submissions is 250 words.

  • Abstract titles may not exceed 100 characters (including spaces).

  • Abstracts submissions should be received by Friday, October 26th.

  • Conference participants are required to register for the conference on-line (acceptance of your poster will allow you a free ticket for the Summit on Friday Nov 2, which includes a catered lunch, but you still must register. If you would like to attend Saturday as well you can purchase that ticket separately).

Additionally, prizes for first ($200), second ($100) and third ($50) place will be awarded (first, second and third place winners will receive prize award IN ADDITION to $50 submission award).  Posters will be judged on relevance to the conference themes, clarity, originality, creativity, impact, and overall quality.


Poster Specifications

Poster presenters will provide a paper version for the conference and an electronic PDF version for inclusion in the conference proceedings.  Paper posters will be limited to a maximum of 4 feet high x 6 feet wide.  Allow a 4-inch x 4-inch space (10cm x 10 cm) for a poster number in the upper left-hand corner of your poster.
